Members' Tree Tour

Join us for a unique members' event with special guest Steve Sanchez, Principal with HGOR. The tour will highlight the diversity of tree species found in Piedmont Park, focusing on their importance to the health of our urban ecology. Topics of discussion will include: The species that are proving to be the toughest survivors in our urban environments The importance of native trees and their importance to wildlife. How trees help to mitigate stormwater and the urban heat island Fall color, flowers and form: What are the aesthetic qualities of our park trees?
